Irish rock band Kodaline has announced the release of a new single titled “Wherever You Are”. The track will be dropped on January 10, and it is available for pre-save now on every streaming service.
“Wherever You Are” will be the band’s new music since Politics of Living, Kodaline’s third studio album released in 2018. About this new track, frontman Steve Garrigan took to the band’s social media account, explaining how the song is dedicated to his long-distance relationship with his girlfriend:
“We’re so excited to release and share new music with you. “Wherever You Are” is a song about loved ones staying in your heart and mind even when they’re not with you. I wrote it specifically for my girlfriend as due to being away on tour all the time we never really got to see each other.”
In September 2018, the four-piece rockers released their third LP Politics of Living. The album is Kodaline’s first endeavour to blend pop sound into their music. It was charted at number 15 on UK Albums Chart, spawning singles such as “Brother“, “Follow Your Fire”, and “Shed a Tear“.
The “All I Want” hitmaker also recently wrapped up the tour in support of Politics of Living. The tour covered a number of legs ranging from the UK to Asia, marking Kodaline as one of the most successful Irish acts to date.
“Wherever You Are” will be available everywhere on this Friday (January 10). Pre-save on your preferred service now.
