Kenny Allstar has announced his new freestyle platform ‘The Generals Corner’ on his own YouTube channel ‘Kenny Allstar TV’.
The DJ from Lewisham, South East London took to Instagram to release the announcement trailer for his new show.
The UK rap scene has been able to get in a position where it is able to be self-sufficient, with no reliance on labels and advertisement. Allstar announced on Twitter that his new show will be completely independent of brands or labels.

Kenny started as an 18-year-old DJ on Deja Vu 92.3 FM, before moving on to Radar radio and now BBC 1xtra, the self-proclaimed ‘Voice of the streets’ has always championed UK rap having had various freestyle platforms on both Radar radio and BBC 1xtra, artists such as M1llionz, Headie one and Potter Payper have all appeared on his BBC 1xtra Voice of the streets show.
Away from radio Kenny Allstar was the face of the largest UK freestyle platform on Youtube, working with Mixtape Madness to create Mad about bars. A platform created to allow upcoming rappers to showcase their talent to an audience of 1.1 million subscribers, the segment has run for 3 seasons and gained well over 100 million views. The show gave some of the UK’s biggest rappers the opportunity to showcase their talents, Unknown T, DigDat and M Huncho all appeared on Mad about bars at the beginning of their careers, M Hunchos appearance on the platform in 2017 was one of the first times the artist had been heard and was well received with just over 22 million views.
The DJ whose 2018 album ‘Block Diaries’ solely featured UK artists is pushing the UK scene harder than anyone else and the announcement of ‘The Generals corner’ will only excite his fans as they prepare for Freestyles from some of the most talented and upcoming rappers in the UK.
