Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, the festival has announced it will be cancelled this year. This means it will be moved to next year
The announcement comes after the majority of the other UK festivals cancelling their festivals this year. But what surprised most festival goers is how late they announced it, with the majority of the festivals already announced their cancellation.

This comes as no surprise as the northern festival was a late addition to the growing list of high profile cancellations which include Parklife, Lovebox and arguably the biggest festival in the world Glastonbury.
Unfortunately, the festival was due to host bands such as Foals, Primal Scream, Stereophonics and Blossoms among others. This will no doubt sting as fans were in for such a bumper year with the massive names on the lineup.

The team at Kendal have announced that people who had already bought tickets for the event can request a refund for their tickets or choose to hold on to them so they can go next year when it takes place.
Unluckily for them, this was due to be their fifteen year anniversary as a festival. It has been the stage to notable acts such as James, Dizzee Rascal, Mumford and Sons and Calvin Harris.
