NME reports that Justice have revealed that they are all set to play a one-off London show next year. The gig will be in support of their recently released album Woman, which came out a few weeks ago.
The announcement of the album itself came as something of a surprise, as they guested to announce both the album, and to give an exclusive first play of ‘Randy’ on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show. The segment cause a great amount of buzz, given the secretive nature of the French duo, but also given that it was the first of new music from Justice since 2011’s Audio, Visual, Disco.
And now, the band have promptly released details of next year’s gig at London’s Brixton Academy of September 29, with tickets going on general sale on December 12.
At the end of last month, the pair also released the video for the track ‘Fire’, showing members Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay enjoying a sun-kissed convertible ride with Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon, reminiscent of her part in Themla & Louise. The video’s director Pascal Teixeira explained the video’s concept as spawning from “hot summer afternoon” of “collectively daydreaming about washing a car.”The video can be seen below.
