After the monumental pop album ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’ put London songstress into the limelight, she is back to continue the rollout with another single from the upcoming deluxe edition of the project. The album which landed Jessie two BRIT nominations for Best Album and Best Female Artist, whilst also arriving at the number one spot on TheNeedleDrop’s 2020 end of year list, will be getting the deluxe treatment.
Arriving on 11th June, the deluxe titled ‘What’s Your Pleasure? Platinum Pleasure’ will see the celebrated album in all its glory re-released along with a handful of new unheard tracks. One of the tracks included in the deluxe is the cut ‘Please’ which is Jessie announced will be premiering live on BBC Radio 2 during the Zoe Ball breakfast show slot. Listeners at 7:30am will get a first glimpse of the new track, which was written by her along with Shungudzo, Danny Parker and James Ford. These three writers also assisted in writing an additional six tracks on the original LP. The album will release in deluxe formats including a limited edition vinyl and a double cassette, which will all arrive in line with the June release date.
Along with the announcement of the album, Jessie Ware told OfficialCharts about the new single, saying “It’s fun, flirtatious, and a song that feels like we are getting closer to those moments of meeting up, talking, touching and kissing”. This song arrives at the perfect time considering the 2021 BRIT Awards will be the first large indoor ceremony of its kind since the COVID-19 outbreak. Jessie is being recognized in the female category for the fourth time whilst this is her first Album of the Year nomination. With the ceremony only weeks away taking place on 12th May, the critically acclaimed album has a chance of bagging the award along with Jessie herself as an artist. Tune in to Radio 2 tomorrow to hear the single, which will see streaming services soon after.
