Singer Jess Glynne along with James Bay and The Weeknd have been confirmed to be performing at next months Brit Award ceremony. Previously artists such as Justin Bieber and Coldplay had been confirmed to play; as discussed in our previous article here.
As Coldplay were announced very shortly after the release of their new album, James Bay has been confirmed just a day after his announcement that he will be touring Europe. There is little doubt that the announcement of him performing at the Brits was timed similarly in order to generate interest for the awards ceremony.
Jess Glynne similarly has been touring recently to promote her new album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ which was released in late August 2015. The album, whilst met with mixed reviews from critics, performed very well commercially and in the charts, making the top 10 of Australia, Ireland and many more countries.

The Weeknd had enjoyed a hugely successful 2015, with hit songs like ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’. Eventually leading to The Weeknd releasing his debut album, titled ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ which before Adele marched onto the scene, was the most streamed album throughout 2015; with 60 million streams. However 2016 has not started as well for the Canadian singer, having recently got in trouble with the law over an alleged assualt on a police officer in Las Vegas.
However all in all, with the ceremony just a month away, and the line-up growing and growing, it certainly offers to be a memorable evening of musical celebration.
