‘On My One’ can be heard on Bugg’s website here.
Bugg spoke to NME in 2015 to discuss his upcoming third album saying that the album will be:
“entirely self-written and almost entirely self-produced”.
“There’s songs people can actually dance to. I’ve been listening to [UK station] Smooth Radio. Those songs from the ’70s, there was a warmth about them that you don’t get in pop nowadays.”
Jake Bugg burst onto the UK music scene just a few short years ago in 2012 with the release of his eponymously titled album ‘Jake Bugg’. On that record were tracks like ‘Two Fingers’, ‘Seen It All’ and ‘Lightning Bolt’ all of which helped propel Bugg to stardom. With his debut album eventually being nominated for the 2013 Mercury Prize award.
Bugg followed up with the success of his first album with ‘Shangri-la’ which was released in 2013. ‘Shangri-La’ was also produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin, proving Bugg’s growth and reputation within the music industry.
It has now been three years since his last album, safe to say his fans are eagerly anticipating his third album, especially now that singles are starting to be released, hopefully this indicates that the album is set to be released sooner rather than later.
