A few days ago we covered the nominees for the prestigious Brits Critics Choice Award (see the article here). The nominees were of course 21 year old soul singer Izzy Bizu, singer-songwriter Frances and electro-soul singer Jack Garratt.
However it has now been announced that 24 year old Jack Garratt has won the award, congratulations Jack!
As mentioned in the previous article, the Brits Critics Choice Award is so prestigious as it almost guarantees wide spread mainstream success for at least a few years. One only has to look at the previous winners (James Bay, Adele) to see that winning this award means a considerable deal regarding success in the music industry.
Garratt had this to say on his win:
“I am so humbled to have received this year’s Brits critics’ choice award… To have been given this award is truly mind-blowing, considering I am one name in a hugely exciting time for music in this country. Thank you to everyone who voted, it means so much to me.”
Jack also took to social media to announce his win:

This victory does not diminish the successes of the other two artists however, there can be little doubt that Izzy Bizu and Frances will go far in the music world, both are still very young and picking up momentum at the right point in their careers.
Jack Garratt has also released details about his upcoming album, set to be titled ‘Phase’, set to be released on February 19th 2016. The album is set to include the hit single ‘Weathered’. Listen to it below:
