Fans of cult mod rockers Stone Roses are on high alert for any announcements regarding the band today as numerous lemons (the band’s logo) have been seen throughout their hometown of Manchester.
Manchester’s local paper the Manchester Evening News has posted an image of the lemons on twitter:

What remains even more curious and rumour inducing about the lemons is that there is 16 of them, thus fans of the 80s band are interpreting this as a potential 2016 tour. Especially given as most tours for next year get announced around this time.
The band were last on the public scene in 2012, reforming for a global tour and numerous UK dates. However they have not released an album in 21 years, with the last release being ‘Second Coming’ in 1994.
Numerous shops throughout Manchester have put the lemons in their windows, surely an announcement is imminent? One shopkeeper had this to say:
“sworn to secrecy about an announcement due in the next 24 hours”
Whether the announcement is a new tour or a new album or anything Stone Roses related; either way you can bet that it will be huge news throughout the music industry. Hopefully you can expect a follow up article in the next few weeks!
