Alternative pop duo Hurts have returned to the music scene with a new track, “Suffer“, from their fifth studio album ‘Faith‘. The album is set to drop on the fourth of September.
Last month, the dark pop duo ended their three-year absence from the spotlight with acoustic guitar-driven tune “Voices.” Now, frontman Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson are ready to give fans with new music.
They have announced the release of the highly-anticipated fifth album entitled ‘Faith‘, a follow up to 2017’s ‘Desire‘. The upcoming record promises fans to see the return of the group to their noir-pop root, which built up their stardom in 2010’s iconic debut ‘Happiness.‘
“If you’d have told me when we started it, how coherent, powerful, and authentic it is, many months later, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. At one stage, I thought we had no chance,” Anderson told NME about the forthcoming LP.
Hurts also shared ‘Faith”s ominously gorgeous, textless album cover and 11-song tracklist on the members’ social media. Check it out below.
The Mancunian duo also revealed the second preview of ‘Faith‘ with new track “Suffer.” The song, like they have affirmed, is a complete return to their mysterious synth-y signature that brings back the pleasure and pain they first introduced in their hit “Wonderful Life.” Have a listen from the video below.
‘Faith‘ is available for pre-order now on every platform. There are also a variety of physical editions of the LP, including vinyl, CD, cassette, up for purchase on the duo’s official site. The album will arrive on September 4 via Columbia Records.
