The Manchester synth-pop duo informed fans about the upcoming track via two consecutive Instagram posts, revealing new, mysterious, black and white photos. The song ‘Voices’ will be the title track for their fifth studio album.
The English band’s last studio album called ‘Desire’ was released in 2017. It debuted at number 21 on the UK Album Chart, selling 3,712 copies in its first week.
‘Desire’ was followed by an acclaimed world tour, starting on October 27 in Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia. The first part of the tour the band played 29 concerts in different parts of the world, 7 of which took place in Russian cities.
‘Hurts’ were formed in 2009 by singer Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist and producer Adam Anderson and that lineup hasn’t changed ever since. In an interview for NMA, Hutchcraft shared:
‘We provide an alternative to the pop music that people listen to on a daily basis. That’s all we want to do – we don’t fit in. It doesn’t have to all be shiny and manufactured. You can make pop music yourself and in your own way.’
