Snyth-pop duo Hurts have returned with a new album, ‘Faith’, making this their fifth album release since their beginning in 2010. Singer-songwriter Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson have been working on this creation for years now, and both took to social media to share their excitement.
Hutchcraft explained the process of writing and recording the long-awaited ‘Faith’, saying, “Today is a day I really wasn’t sure would come. The early days of making this album were tumultuous and terrifying. Personally, it was one of the darkest, most difficult periods of my life.” Despite this journey, he went on to explain, “I genuinely believe that this album is some of the best music we’ve ever made. I’m so proud of us.”

Anderson wrote a shorter piece for his followers, which dedicated the album to “anyone who is in pain, suffering, isolated, confused, lost,” and told them to “never give up.” The fan reaction has been incredible, as many are grateful for Hutchcraft’s lyrics and have given the album thousands of streams already.
‘Faith’ consists of eleven tracks, including four singles released since the start of 2020 – ‘Voices’, ‘Suffer’, ‘Redemption’, and ‘Somebody’. The latter, which came out in July, is a powerful song with a rock edge, reminiscent of the band’s earlier work. The music video has gained 1.3 million views with its dark visuals.
Hurts’ debut album ‘Happiness’ reached Number 4 in the UK Charts in 2010, and went on to only gain popularity and a loyal fanbase who relate to their thought-provoking lyrics and unique production. They have held numerous tours around the UK and Europe, and plan to embark on their latest tour in 2021.
