Following his 2014 debut album Irish singer-songwriter Hozier has revealed his second album, called Wasteland, Baby!, will be released on the first of March. In a statement released on his website the ‘Take Me To Church Star’ said: “I’m thrilled to announce my new album Wasteland, Baby! The album has been over a year in the making and it’s a pleasure to finally turn out my pockets and share the work. I want to sincerely thank fans and listeners for their continued support in between the records. See you out on the road soon.”
Wasteland Baby! is set for release on the first of March and opens with the summer hit “Nina Cried Power”,featuring Gospel legend Mavis Staples, an anthemic ballad about the musical heroes of the civil rights movement. Full track listings can be found below:

An album wasn’t the only thing Hozier announced he also shared a video for track two on the album “Almost (Sweet Music), and news that his “Wasteland” tour would be heading to Europe in the summer, full confirmation of dates are to be released in the future.
Hozier, real name Andrew Hozier-Byrne, was born in Bray, Ireland in March 1990. His self-titled debut album reached number 3 in the UK album charts. “Take Me to Church”, the highest charting single on the album, became one of the biggest songs of 2014 and was nominated for song of the year at the 57th GRAMMY awards, where Hozier performed live with Annie Lennox. News of a new Hozier album has excited fans worldwide, with most suggesting that they can’t wait for it’s release, and subsequent live dates.

Hozier is about to embark on a 26 date US tour, starting in Buffalo on the 10th of March and ending in Spokane on the 14th of April. He then jets off for dates in Australia and New Zealand before heading back to the UK and Europe for summer dates and potential festival slots. With previous collaborations including Mavis Staples and a fan base including pop-princess Taylor Swift Hozier has come along way since dropping out of a music degree, aged 19. His second album is just one of many anticipated new releases from artists that are bound to keep indie heads excited, including new material from Bombay Bicycle Club and The Killers.
