Singer-songwriter-sensation Hozier has announced his sensational return today, with a surprisingly intimate gig scheduled to be played and London’s Koko next month.
After going multi-platinum with his eponymous debut album back in 2014, it is now expected that news of new music and a more extensive UK and Ireland tour could be imminent.
It is also widely anticipated that the Irishman will debut new music when he takes to the stage in Camden on September 11. The gig will be held in aid of War Child, and tickets will be allotted through a ballot system, and 100% of donations will go towards the charity. You can donate to be in with a chance for tickets here. There are also tickets available for several live rehearsals at the same address, you can check out the full list of dates below.
More European dates are set to be announced following the gig on September 17, with those who donate to the War Child concert eligible for access to a pre-sale for the new dates.
Hozier has been focused on new music since as far back as 2016, where he explained to NME that “I’ve never been so eager to make music. I’m itching for it. In a big way. If this opportunity had happened at a different time I would have just been spent, but I had had maybe six days of quiet and I can’t really write on the road.
“But when it all stops and things are quiet again you’re just ready for things to fall out of you. I have a phone full of memos and loads of notebooks with little melodic ideas.”
