Hope Tala has released a new single ‘Mad’ alongside new visuals directed by Milicent Hailes.
The video features a number of artistic and graceful locations, in numerous different outfits and looks. The video follows on in a similarly artistic fashion to that of the artist’s previous videos.
The 22-year-old singer/songwriters release is her latest since her ep ‘Girl eats suns’ which released in late 2020 and featured 6 songs including a feature from American artists Amine.
Her latest song covers the topic of unrequited love, the song is full of lyrics of disappointment and romantic failure with the opening line being ‘Its a shame, that I love you and you don’t feel the way I do’.
At the end of 2020, Barack Obama released the annual list of his favourite songs of the year, the list included a few British acts such as the talented J Hus and Little Simz. Hope Talas powerful song ‘All my girls like to fight’ feature on the list that was released by America’s first black president.
The title of her latest ep ‘ Girls eats sun’ was a message, in an interview with Gal-dem the artist from West London said “The name ‘Girl Eats Sun’ was a way of saying that I’m strong enough to take the heat and really pursue the dream of music”
The reaction to her latest single has been positive and with her impressive features and poetic work it seems that the next few releases of Hopes will be important for her to stamp her name in the music industry.
