In August 2021, Sir Tom Jones and Van Morrison will headline Hampton Court Palace Festival. Joined by other artists, Bastille ReOrchestrated, Keane and Björn Again. The festival, held at the famous royal landmark located in Surrey, will take place from August 13th 2021 until August 24th 2021.
The event took to their Twitter page to announce the new festival dates.
The festival, which is normally held in June, has been postponed due to COVID restrictions. But with the government’s announcement of the roadmap to recovery, fortunately the event can still take place this year. Unfortunately, previously announced acts, Lionel Richie, Rick Astley and George Benson will not be performing in August but will be performing at next year’s event, June 2022.
Welsh crooner, Sir Tom Jones will grace the palace with a two consecutive night set starting August 23rd 2021. Van Morrison, ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ singer, will be playing on August 13th 2021. On August 17th and 18th 2021, Brit award nominees Bastille ReOrchestrated will perform. The performance will see the band Bastille play a setlist of their last three albums, performed with a 20-piece orchestra and choir, their set will surely be atmospheric, performed in a perfect setting full of elegance and prestige. East Sussex rockers Keane will play at the festival on August 19th 2021 and Björn Again will be performing on August 14th 2021. Björn Again, a famed ABBA tribute band, also performed at Glastonbury 2019.
As well as a fantastic line up of artists, Hampton Court Palace Festival also provides sophisticated picnics for guests. The picnics will be crafted by upscale department shop, Fortnum & Mason, and offers many options including, The Fortnum’s Picnic and The Fortnum’s Garden Picnic, vegetarian option. The festival also provides decadent options, The Fortnum’s Feast and The Fortnum’s Garden Feast vegetarian option. All options include wine and include plates and cutlery and glasses perfect for a beautiful but also convenient picnic. Guests are asked to put in their orders three days before the event.
The Palace first opened its gates to the festival in 1993 and has built a reputation for booking artists from all genres and eras. Not only does the festival provide musical entertainment within the palace’s beautiful grounds, but also keeps alive a historical tradition of live entertainment, a tradition passed down from the 16th century established by nobility and royals. Notable artists which have followed this tradition include, Eric Clapton, Kyle Minogue and Jools Holland.
