Halestorm released their latest album ‘Vicious’ earlier this year and will tour the UK next year in support of it. Vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, has had the idea of a tour like this for a while she told Kerrang: ‘We’ve been wanting to put together a tour like this for a long time. We are some of the hardest working women in rock, so the fact that we are all on the same stage every night is something not to be missed! We support and love each other, and we are representing our genre. This line-up is a beautiful display of what it means to be a strong female example for rock fans everywhere.’
In This Moment have spent the vast majority of 2018 on the road with Halestorm and have been writing while they are on the road. The band is gearing up to release their seventh album which they are planning to enter the studio in February and begin recording. Front women Maria Brink told New York’s Q103 about the process of the new album: ‘Some of my band members are flying in here to Albany and they’re gonna be writing with me for a few weeks here till the next Halestorm tour starts. It has begun. We’re writing on the road as well. So, it’s all happening.’
New Years Day who just dropped a new song this month called ‘Skeletons’ from the band’s forthcoming full-length album, which is due to be released this spring. Front women Ashley Costello also told Kerrang: ‘Every single photo we have ever posted about being on tour with Halestorm and In This Moment, was always flooded with comments of people asking us to bring this same tour to the UK – and now we are. We are so excited to bring our show to more faces and ears and get to meet everyone around the world who wants to head bang with the women of rock.’ Listen to New Years Day new song ‘Skeletons’ below.
