In an interview with Ryan Dombal on Pitchfork, the trio were asked about their ‘strangest display of affection from a fan’:
Este: For the last month, every time we show up to a venue for a show there’s a bouquet of flowers for Danielle—not for the band, just for Danielle—and there’s some sort of poem inside. And they sign it “ITYM.” And that’s it. It literally says, “Dear Danielle,” and then…
Danielle: Let me find it [searches for note]: “You bring beauty to the flower and serenity to the sky, of such angelic ethereality, pure and white, as snowflakes lie—ITYM.” It isn’t even that it’s creepy, I just want to know who it is so I can thank them. They’ve sent like 20 bouquets. And they’re not just daisies, they’re roses, tulips, peonies. Beautiful flowers. It’s like a missed connections situation on Craigslist. I want to know who it is.
Haim’s tour continues with European festivals:
18-20/8 Frequency Festival – St Poelten, Austria
27/8 Reading Festival – Reading
28/8 Leeds Festival – Leeds
2-4/9 Electric Picnic – Stradbally, Ireland
Haim has built anticipation for this long awaited second album to be released later this year.
