Post-Rock icons Godspeed You! Black Emperor will be hitting the road this Autumn, as they embark on a hefty European and UK tour. The band will be on tour with UK filmmaker/band member Lemieux, in what will be the band’s first big performances since early 2016.

The tour will kick off in Rome on October 13, and will the take band all over Europe, including four dates in the UK at the end of the month, you can see the full list of UK dates below.

The dates in Rome will be a collaborative performance with  fellow Canadians, and dance company Holy Body Tattoo, in a reunion of the band and Holy Body Tattoo’s ‘Monumental’ piece, which has previously been performed the world over, and Premiered at Vancouver’s PuSh Performing Arts Festival in January 2016.

The band will split from Holy Body Tattoo and continue on their own in Fribourg, Switzerland after the dates in Rome, and the tour as a whole will conclude in Paris, at the Elysee Montmatre in the first week of November.

The band haven’t released new music since 2015’s Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress, but the tour is still a marked improvement from the indefinite hiatus taken by the band and it’s billions of members between 2003 and 2010.
