North West London ‘Wave’ rapper GeeYou has released his debut album ‘Pain & Profit’, the 17 song tape includes 4 features, Young adz, Frosty, Yxng Bane and American Rapper Rylo Rodriguez.
The project comes 3 months after his latest release ‘Ex’ which featured regular collaborator Yxng bane and gained over 500,000 views on GRM daily. GeeYou spent the last months in America working on his craft and building connections, his collaboration with Lil Baby protege and artist Rylo Rodriguez being a sign of this.
The artist yet to have done an interview has been releasing music for the last two years and can be seen to have been instantly accepted into the UK scene.
GeeYou gained recognition in 2019 following the release of his track titled ‘AMG’ the song was released on GRM Daily and currently sit on 2.4 million views, the 20-year-old went from strength to strength after this release collaborating with fellow melodic rappers Yxng Bane and Young Adz on ‘Bando Aspen’ and ‘Push weight’, which received 2 million and 3.4 million views each.
The artist is managed by graphic designer Kritikal, who for the last ten years has worked closely with multiple artists in the UK rap scene including, Chip, Krept and Konan, Tinie Tempah and Young Adz. Kritkals connections in the UK rap scene could be seen to be why his young artist was able to get features from such UK rap heavyweights.
