Gabrielle Aplin has released a collaborative Christmas EP, ‘December’, with Hannah Grace, on the 4th of December 2018, via Never Fade Records. Featuring covers of classic Christmas songs, the four-track EP also features a brand new song and title track, written and performed by Aplin and Grace.
The duo have teamed up and produced a four-track EP, ‘December’ that has seen them produce an original track, which is also titled ‘December’. The EP also features amazing covers of classical Christmas songs including ‘River’ by Joni Mitchell, ‘Blue Christmas’ by Elvis Presley and Martina McBride, and ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ – originally sung by Judy Garland.
Aplin and Grace brought the ‘December’ EP to life, at Never Fade’s 2018 Christmas Party, on the 4th of December 2018, a celebration of Never Fade Records and its friends. The event will also include g the likes of Lauren Aquilina, Lewis Watson, Orla Gartland, Sonny and more.
Speaking about the collaboration, Aplin said: “I’m really happy to finally have a song out with my friend Hannah Grace. We’ve sang together for years so it was great to finally work on something new together. We’ve been wanting to collaborate on a Christmas EP for such a long time!”
Gabrielle Aplin and Hannah Grace came together after a friendship that began through a shared love of music and song-writing. Their individual projects have always been linked and this year Hannah Grace signed to Never Fade Records, a label that Aplin founded, in 2010. A joint project featuring Aplin and Grace was always a dream, and last year at the annual Never Fade Records Christmas Party the idea of the collaborative Christmas EP was born.
“AWAL was the first company that I started working with when we launched Never Fade Records in 2010 to release my first EPs, and I’m really excited to be working with them again on my third album! It’s an exciting time to be an independent artist, and I know that this partnership with AWAL will bring a huge boost to the label and the acts we work with as well as myself and my own projects,” says Aplin, speaking about the partnership with AWAL.
