Franz Ferdinand and Mogwai, along with Frightened Rabbit, have been announced as the headliners for ‘A Night For Scotland’ which will be taking place in support of Scottish independence taking place on 14th September.
With the referendum for Scottish Independence coming ever closer, there are several artists keen to show their support for the ‘Yes’ campaign. Taking place at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall, the event is also due to feature Scottish singer-songwriter Eddi Reader, a collaboration between Deacon Blue’s Lorraine McIntosh and Ricky Ross under the guise of McIntosh-Ross, and comedienne Elaine C Smith.
The events’ promoter Tommy Sheppard told The Scotsman, “The Yes campaign has unleashed tremendous creative energy and now a small segment of Scotland’s artistic and creative community are getting together to prepare to move up another gear in the final days before the people of Scotland make the most important decision of their lives.”
