Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls are set to headline a one off day festival in Londonderry, named the Cut the Transmission Festival.
The festival has been set up by Londonderry natives Fighting With Wire and is a part of the UK City of Culture 2013 celebrations, which was awarded to the Northern Ireland city back in 2010. Fighting With Wire have called an end to their vast career which as taken them all over the world, and will bow out in spectacular fashion, surrounded by several other smashing artists who they have shared a stage with over the years.
Other artists which are set to appear alongside Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls and Fighting With Wire include Welsh alternative group Future of the Left, fellow Northern Ireland natives More Than Conquerors and Jim Lockey and the Solemn Sun, the rising Cheltenham folk rockers. With more to be announced over the next few weeks, it is sure to be an event you’ll not want to miss out on.
Cut the Transmission takes place on September 28th and with tickets at only £20, it’s a cheap, guaranteed good day out.
