U.S. indie rock band Foxing have announced a run of fifteen headline shows in the UK and Europe, commencing next year on Wednesday the 4th of May in Brighton. The group will be playing their first seven shows of the tour in the UK, before heading out to Belgium to begin the EU leg of the tour.

Foxing have explored the fabric of many sub-genres within indie music over the years, first garnering attention with their sombre debut album The Albatross in 2013, a record that explored the raw, unfiltered vocal stylings of emo, the ambient drone of post-rock, and the twinkly, duelling guitar sounds often found in math rock. Their sophomore release, 2015’s Dealer, saw a slight departure from the stark sadness of The Albatross; whilst vocalist Connor Murphy still touched on heartbreak and the darker details of life in his lyrics, some of the melancholy beauty present on the album tells of a light at the end of the tunnel.
2018’s Nearer My God was a contrast to the band’s prior musical ventures, this time increasing their use of synthesisers and electronic drums and including sprinklings of raucous distorted guitar amidst their signature reverb-soaked sound. 2021 has seen the band releasing their fourth full-length album Draw Down The Moon. Released in August, the band varies their sound from song to song on this record, featuring everything from bouncy indie rock guitar hooks to dissonant walls of noise.

Foxing’s next run of shows commences on October 5th in Dallas, TX, the first of two of North American tours before embarking on their UK/EU venture in May 2022.
