British pop singer/songwriter Foxes has shared the second single from her new era, “Woman“. The track is a follow-up to the May release track “Love Not Loving You“. An animated music video is premiered alongside the single.
After ending her four-year absence from the scene with comeback single “Love Not Loving You“, Louisa Rose Allen aka Foxes has continued to build up her hype with “Woman“. The track is a complete left turn for the Southampton singer, as it showcases her raw vocal with a minimal piano production.
“If freedom is a gift, sing out / I wanna see the walls come down / If everybody breathes, then I know / That I’m a person, I’m human, I’m a woman,” sings Foxes.
The “Body Talk” singer also shared some info about the meaning behind the song with Dork: “There’s a lot of injustices in the world right now and I hope this single can be interpreted by any woman, in any situation, facing injustice, facing any situation that they know is wrong, and helps them to stand up and say no to what isn’t right.”
With two impressive singles on the plate so far, it seems like the 31-years-old’s upcoming third album is going to be as great as two previous records. Also, Foxes was recently welcomed to a new home at [PIAS] Recordings that will take care of her new era.
“Woman” is out now, and stay tuned for more of Foxes here.
