The Foo Fighters have released a new music video for their track “Love Dies Young”. The song is featured on their album Medicine at Midnight. Now “Love Dies Young” is both the epic finale of Medicine at Midnight and the album’s newest single.
The track makes a splash as the latest Foo Fighters’ video one that definitely takes writer/director Dave Grohl and the FF team into uncharted waters. The video also includes America’s favourite coach Jason Sudeikis on hand to make sure things go swimmingly. Sudekis stars in the hit Netflix series Ted Lasso a show about an English football team with an American Football Coach.
The video was premiered live on MTVU and across MTV’s global network of channels. You can view the full music video below.
In the video you can hear Sudeikis shouting “Your toe points suck… stink… doodoo, I have seen diarrhoea with more consistency.” He then adds “Today is the most important competition of your lives. Prove me right!”
As the team makes their way to the pool, Foos’ “Love Dies Young” begins to play before the band’s faces are superimposed onto the synchronised swimmers’ heads. Elsewhere, Sudeikis’ character watches on from the side while a panel of judges take notes.
Grohl and his other band members then go underwater, with the group’s routine becoming more complex as it goes on. Sudeikis can be seen wearing a US flag jacket whilst urging encouragement. The swimming Foos are awarded 10s all round from the panel, but soon spot something nasty floating in the water.
In addition to the new music video Foo Fighters are also set to return to the UK next June for a run of stadium shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London. They will be supported by St. Vincent, Courtney Barnett and Shame with more set to appear as support acts throughout the tour.
