British indie rock band Foals have recently released a new music video for their single ‘Birch Tree’ from their 2015 album ‘What Went Down’ which was ranked at 8 on NME’s album of the year 2015 (via NME).
This single will be the third song released as a single from the successful fourth studio album following ‘Mountain At My Gates’ and ‘What Went Down’. The music video consists of the Oxford based five-piece adventuring around California. We get to see the frontman Yannis Philippakis skating along the beach in a retro super-8 style edited film.
2016 is set to be a big year for the band as they in contention for a BRIT award in this years iconic awards show for “Best British Band’ with competition coming from Coldplay, Blur, One Direction and Years & Years. This will be the first time that the band is up for a BRIT award which is positive news for the band as it will follow their album tour for ‘What Went Down’ which will include dates at London, Glasgow and Manchester.
