Foals have released their final single, ‘Neptunes’ from their sixth album. However, the music video clocks in at ten minutes and twenty seconds. ‘Neptunes’ is the fifth single from ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2‘.
So, if you put together a ten-minute music video, what’s the end result?. According to a press release, director David East combines “striking natural beauty with images that conjure the feeling of a world teetering on the precipice of an apocalypse,”.
So that’s what it means.
The music video sees the band make a stand against climate change. Their previous music video for ‘Like Lightning’, premiered on Music Declares Emergency. The organization was created by members of the music industry to combat global warming.
