Dua Lipa will be hosting her livestream concert Studio 2054 on Friday November 27th and until today the special appearances have remained a secret. Taking to Instagram today, Dua Lipa has announced that FKA Twigs will be one of the performers for this multi-dimensional experience.
Due to safety concerns surrounding the current Covid-19 pandemic, the concert will be completely virtual however in a press release Lipa has described the show to be a completely new experience with ‘custom-built sets, surreal tv shows, roller discos, ecstatic raves, trashy rocker hangouts, vogueing ballrooms and via style dressing rooms’.
The concert will feature Lipa’s most recent album Future Nostalgia, along with the remix Club Future Nostalgia. The mega-hit single Fever with Belgian pop-star Angèle was released on October 30th alongside the announcement that tickets for Studio 2054 were available for pre-order.
Standard tickets are priced at 8.99 and the special bundle will cost only 15 and will include behind the scenes footage and meet-and-greet opportunities with Lipa and potentially other featuring artists. Tickets are still on sale and are available to pre-order here.
Lipa has rescheduled her Future Nostalgia Tour dates twice because of Covid-19 and at this moment dates are scheduled for September 2021 and onward. Tickets are available to pre-order here. FKA Twigs is not on tour next year however will appear in a number of festivals throughout Europe, not currently including the UK or Ireland.
There are still special guest performances for Studio 2054 to be announced by Dua Lipa in the coming weeks. FKA Twigs is only the first in the highly anticipated line-up for the virtual concert.
