Critically acclaimed duo Ferris & Sylvester have announced their first ever headline tour of the UK and Ireland. The duo will be heading out on the road in February 2019 and will see them play nine-dates, which include Manchester, Birmingham and London.
The band will be hitting the road in Leeds, on the 4th of February 2019, and will bring their nine-date headline tour to an end in Dublin, on the 14th of February 2019. Tickets can be purchased here.
Speaking about their forthcoming tour, Ferris & Sylvester said: “It feels so surreal to be announcing our first headline tour of the UK & Ireland. We’ve done over a hundred shows this year across the UK and Europe, shared the stage with our heroes and met so many brilliant people. And now we get to do our own tour! We cannot wait for the new year, we have so much we want to share with you.”
Ferris & Sylvester have been carving a name for themselves on the UK’s live scene and have played to audiences of thousands, this year, with major shows alongside the likes of George Ezra, Jade Bird, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant and many more.
The duo have also played a number of high profile festivals this summer including BST Hyde Park, the main stage at Wilderness Festival and a sold-out show at Reeperbahn Festival, among many others. Ferris & Sylvester have now been announced for their first festival of 2019 and will play at Eurosonic in January.
Preceding the announcement of the London-based singer/song-writers first ever headline tour, the duo recently released their latest single ‘Burning River’. This represents their first new music since their well received ‘Made in Streatham EP‘, which was released earlier this year.
This is the first taste of the duo’s exciting new project, which is inspired by their recent writing trips to Iceland. ‘Burning River’ pulls together Icelandic chants, captivating percussion, blues guitars and the pair’s unmistakable harmonies.
“For us, this is our most exciting and personal release to date. ‘Burning River’ is our ode to Iceland. We’d only known each other for a few months, and it was there that we decided to really concentrate on making music together. We drove around the whole island, camping wherever we landed. We’ve been back every summer since and it has become a very powerful, creative place for us. With the help of the incredible producer and friend, Michael Rendall, we feel this song shows our growing journey as songwriters and is a taste of things to come,” says Ferris & Sylvester.
The track has amassed more than 300,000 streams on Spotify and its release has led them to receive continued support from the likes of BBC Introducing, The Independent, The Guardian and many more.
