Arguably one of the world’s ‘coolest’ artists out there at the moment Father John Misty is set to continue his work with fellow singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey. Josh Tillman (Father John Misty’s real name) had previously toured with Del Rey in 2014 and it’s thought that both are huge fans of each other. With Del Rey previously having spoke to The Current about her love for Father John Misty:
“You do? I’m his number one fan. [laughs] Talking about a narrative, his songs really bring me back to why I started writing in the first place. None of the fancy stuff, it’s just the story in each one of his songs. Is it called, “I Went to the Store One Day?” That song kills me, the way he puts things. I feel like he has all of his insecurities and all of his hopes flow so seamlessly throughout each song. And his voice is amazing. I’ve seen him live a few times. We went on tour together for a minute.”
Their next collaboration is Josh is set to make an appearance in Del Rey’s latest music video, as she took to twitter to announce:

Whilst not the biggest news story with Father John Misty only making an appearance in Del Rey’s music video, it does potentially hint at more collaboration between the two and hopefully we’ll see more concert appearances together or tours together.
Music videos in this day and age are a key part of circulating newly released singles or getting attention for albums. ‘Freak’ is from Del Rey’s 2015 release and third album ‘Honeymoon’. It is no surprise seeing Tillman and Del Rey collaborating, with their musical styles being somewhat similar, tongue in cheek lyrics combined with musical complexity.
