The Legendary DJ started up as a bass player in the band called The Housemartins in the 80’s. After they split he formed Beats International, an electronic band with whom he had UK No1. ‘Dub Be Good to Me’. In the mid 90’s he adopted the stage name Fatboy Slim and started his solo career. In one of interviews he explained his name choice: “It doesn’t mean anything. I’ve told so many different lies over the years about it I can’t actually remember the truth. It’s just an oxymoron—a word that can’t exist. It kind of suits me—it’s kind of goofy and ironic”. His first solo project ‘Better living Through Chemistry’ album has been released in 1996. The DJ got his international recognition in the club scene after releasing ‘You’ve Come a Long Way Baby’ in 1998 with hit ‘Praise You’ that has taken No.1 position in charts. He has won Brit Award in 2001 for Best British Dance Act.
The first time the musician created The Round experience and turned arenas into “biggest dance floors” with “big production, a revolving stage, rave ushers and live smiley face experience” was back in 2016. His last tour where the audience surrounded him in a circle was in 2019.
