An extinct species of ‘water pig’ has been christened after Mick Jagger due to having ‘tactile lips’.
The Rolling Stones frontman has been off busy lending his support to the Better Together campaign against Scottish independence and has yet to give his reaction to this new, strange tribute.
The species has been fully christened ‘Jaggermeryx naida’, which literally means ‘Jagger’s water nymph’. After recently discovering further evidence for the species in Egypt, the species was named by associate professor at Wake University, Ellen Miller, who co-authored the paper announcing the discovery in the Journal of Paleontology and was keen to admit that she is “a huge Stones fan,” when speaking to The Guardian.
