British rock band Enter Shikari announced yesterday, 21st July, that all of their ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’ tour dates have been postponed until 2021. According to a press release, Covid-19 is the main cause, along with “uncertainty and ongoing lack of charity around the return of larger indoor music events.”
Originally due to take place throughout autumn and winter 2020, the dates have now been moved to summer 2021, and all tickets will remain valid.
Frontman Rou Reynolds said in a press release, “We’re gutted to have to reschedule all our shows to 2021. This means we won’t be stepping on a stage in 2020 whatsoever. This is agonising – I’m already climbing the walls and we’re only half way through!”
He continued on an uplifting note, “I suppose it just means more time to work on these shows and make them extra special for when they finally come along,” ending with, “Thank you to everyone who’s bought a ticket, the response has been amazing even with everything going on, but obviously right now the main priority is everybody’s well being. Wishing everyone health and happiness.”
The album which they are touring in promotion of is April’s release, ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’, released through So Recordings and reaching Number Two in the UK Official Charts. This was their sixth studio album, consisting of fifteen songs including ‘{The Dreamer’s Hotel}’, ‘the king’, ‘T.I.N.A’, and ‘THE GREAT UNKNOWN’.
Enter Shikari includes members Rou Reynolds (lead vocals, guitar), Rory Clewlow (guitar), Chris Batten (bass), and Rob Rolfe (drums). Having formed in 1999, they released their debut album ‘Take To The Skies’ in 2007. The band went on to achieve chart success and play at festivals such as Download, Reading and Leeds, and Glastonbury.
