The Independent reports that Eminem has been announced as the third headliner for the Reading and Leeds Festival. Eminem will be headlining the festival for the third time this summer, alongside previously announce acts Kasabian and Muse. You can see the full and current line-up below.
The confirmation of the Detroit rapper as a headliner has fuelled rumours surrounding Eminem, with many speculating that he is readying himself to release new music this year. This August’s festival will be the first time that Eminem has returned to the festival since his triumphant set in 2013, and Festival organiser Melvin Benn was elated to see him returning, telling the press “Eminem returning to Reading and Leeds is beyond exciting. His 2013 headline performance was incredible and I can’t wait to have him back.
“In addition to our third and final headliner – joining Kasabian and Muse – we’ve announced over 70 additional acts to this year’s lineup – it’s looking stronger than ever.”
A third wave of acts were announced for the weekend, as well as Eminem, including Haim, Circa Waves, INHEAVEN, Avelino, Bear’s Den, Toothless, Blossoms, Cabbage, Everything Everything, Giggs, Milky Chance, Ray BLK, Sundara Karma, The Amazons and Tom Grennan. Reading and Leeds takes place over the August Bank holiday weekend (25th-27th) in the UK, and tickets are available now.
