Electric Picnic has announced its line up for 2020. The County Laois festival in Ireland is led by artists such as Rage Against The Machine and Lewis Capaldi. My Chemical Romance and Snow Patrol are further billed. The festival runs from September 4-6.
The acts mentioned take top billing across the weekend. The festival will be boasting further big names this year. These include Irish outfit Picture This, Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown, as well as Foals, Run The Jewels and Skepta.
Electric Picnic will also welcome James Vincent McMorrow, Annie Mac, Mabel, Rick Astley, Jeff Mills, Denzel Curry, Helena Hauff, and Declan McKenna. This, however, is not the full list and festivalgoers will be pleased to hear more artists are scheduled to perform.
Sadly, tickets are already sold out.
Last year’s Electric Picnic hosted acts Hozier, The Strokes, The 1975 and Florence & The Machine. It’s a busy year for Rage Against The Machine, who are further set to headline Reading & Leeds Festival. The band plays Leeds on August 28, before closing Reading on August 30.
Lewis Capaldi recently announced his biggest headline gig to date. He will play the 02 on October 2, his final live date of 2020.
The 02 date follows Capaldi’s already extensive tour schedule this year. His tour is in aid of the mental health initiative LIVELIVE. The campaign aims to provide mental health support for those who “who love live music, yet suffer from anxiety and/or panic attacks whilst in busy concert environments”.
Meanwhile, Foals released a music video for their single ‘Wash Off’. The ‘Wash Off PSA’ music video demonstrates someone following the standard medical procedure for hand-washing. The footage is played on loop with the track, while lyrics appear on the screen.
