Elderbrook has added an additional date to his tour, he announced an upcoming gig in Dublin, following the release of a brand new single. The gig will take place on Thursday the 25th of October at The Academy in Dublin. This announcement comes after the release of his latest track, ‘Capricorn’, which was launched on BBC Radio’s No.1 Hottest Record.
The song-writer/producer, started his career, like many aspiring artists on Soundcloud, where he went viral and was latter signed to Black Butter Records. Since then he has garnered a sizable backing, following the release of his debut EP ‘Simmer Down’. His career has gone from strength to strength and last year it saw him collaborate with production duo Camelphat, to produce a record called ‘Cola’, which earned him a Ivor Novella and Grammy Award Nomination.
“Camelphat, the DJs I wrote it with, are from Liverpool. They came down to London to work with some singers and I was one of them. We had half a day in the studio and wrote three songs – Cola was one of them. I really didn’t think much of it at the time to be honest, we really didn’t know. One of the guys from Camelphat texted me about a month or so later to tell me Defected wanted to sign it. That was great, but I never anticipated the reaction that it got on its release. It’s been surprising me ever since,” Elderbrook says, speaking about his collaboration with Camelphat.
Over the past year Elderbrook has been busy, by performing a number of sold-out headline shows with the likes of Rüfüs Du Sol, The Wombats and Bonobo. This year will see Elderbrook play the biggest headline performances of his career, along with a number of other UK and European tours.
