Manchester band Elbow have released a new album and dates for a lengthy UK tour in 2017.
Kicking off with two nights in Dublin on February 26 and 27, they will go on to play in Birmingham, London, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Newport, Edinburgh, Bridlington, Doncaster and Leicester before making their homecoming in Manchester for three nights.
The tour comes in support of the band’s seventh album which hasn’t yet been titled. The album is scheduled for release on February 3 next year and will be their first album release since The Take Off and Landing of Everything in 2014.
The band recently joined Instagram to share exclusive images and footage of the recording sessions. This will be their first release as a four-piece, following the departure of their drummer Richard Jupp earlier this year.
Elbow’s most famous hit’s include ‘One Day Like This’ and ‘Grounds for Divorce’, both stemming from their 2009 album The Seldom Seen Kid. The band’s albums, as well as their B-sides compilation Dead in the Boot, all reached the top 15 of the British album chart. Seven of their singles placed in the top 40 of the British singles chart.
