Mega pop star Dua Lipa has announced to move the release date of ‘Future Nostalgia‘ forward after the album was surfaced online over the past weekend. The 11-track LP had been originally set to drop on April 3, but since the entire catalogue was leaked, the singer decided to move the date one week earlier to this Friday 27, March.
The “New Rules” smasher took to her social media, revealing such so-called good news in a teary live stream. “I’ve been a little bit conflicted about whether it’s the right thing to do during this time because lots of people are suffering,” said Lipa about her decision to drop the album this Friday.
I am so sorry for Dua lipa she wanted everyone to listen to her album in her own way and in time not for a damn leak, they must STOP with that AND RESPECT THE WORK OF OTHERS!!!!.

Her main concern is whether the album drop is an appropriate act to commit in today’s worrying chaos of global pandemic: “I’m not sure if I’m even doing the right thing, but I think the thing we need the most at the moment is music, and we need joy and we need to be trying to see the light.” She added, “I hope it makes you smile and I hope it makes you dance and I hope I make you proud.”
The 24-year-old songstress also told her fans about the status of her upcoming world tour. Affected by the worldwide outbreak of coronavirus, the ‘Future Nostalgia‘ World Tour is now postponed, as told by the singer herself on live video: “I tried to hold out for as long as possible but I can see that, at the moment, things aren’t changing and for the safety of everyone around us, we really need to be careful and cautious.”
Lipa has not yet confirmed when the new dates of her tour are, but she promised the dates would be announced next Tuesday. Also, all tickets purchased are eligible for the new dates.
‘Future Nostalgia‘ is Lipa’s sophomore LP, following 2017’s blockbuster self-titled debut. The album is introduced with “Don’t Start Now”, a single that sees the singer venturing into a brand-new sonic territory of disco music. It has become very successful in the UK peaking at number 2.
“Physical” is served as the second single off the LP. Both the song and the video receive critical acclaim for the track’s excellent disco influence and infectious hook and the video’s impressively-executed techniques.
Following the quicker release announcement, the “Hotter Than Hell” singer also shared that “Break My Heart” would be promoted as the third promotional single from the album. It will be premiered on March 25 alongside a new music video. What’s more exciting is the track has a sample of INXS’s legendary funk rock song “Need You Tonight”.
