Canadian rap titan Drake has left fans in a state of curious excitement, after some cryptic posts hinting at a project with fellow Candian sensation The Weeknd. The post came through Drake’s official Instagram, showing the Views-esque stage set featuring Toronto’s CN Tower, at his annual OVO fest. The post prompted predictions of new music, a new tour, or both, from Drake’s rabid fans.
Fans have noted that the photo’s caption ‘You don’t know… what’s in store’ is Drake quoting The Weeknd’s hit song ‘High For This.’ The Weeknd joined Drake onstage during his OVO-Fest set on monday, and the two performed ‘Crew Love’ from Drake’s massive album Take Care.

Fans understandably went wild for two of the world’s biggest artists performing together, and the flames were fanned further when Drake spoke directly to his audience, declaring that a project between himself and the Starboy was not a case of ‘if’ but ‘when’, going as far as suggesting it was an inevitability.

An OVOXO project woulda been fire flame back in 2012.

Drake also informed the baying crowd that he’s already working on the follow-up to this year’s overlong playlist More Life. Maybe he’ll release an actual album this time? The Weeknd last released music in late 2016, with Starboy proving to be a huge commercial and critical success.
