NME reports that Drake finally brought his Boy Meets World Tour to Europe last night, and treated fans to a brand new song during his set.
The beginning of the European leg of the tour had previously been delayed by several postponements, with last night’s debut Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome initially scheduled for January 26 and 27, and even prior to that, they were slated to be for January 20 and 21, until the Toronto rapper rescheduled them. The most recent shift in dates was cited to have been caused by production setbacks, which have previously affected Drake’s tours. Shows that were supposed to take place in Glasgow on January 25 and 26 have been pushed back as far as March 22 and 23, with the first date of many at London’s O2 Arena being delayed from January 28 to March 20, although all other UK dates will go ahead as originally planned.
The Toronto based rapper, whose latest album Views broke streaming records worldwide, and hit the number 1 spot in nine countries, seemed to want to make amends for the scheduling chaos of the tour, treating his fans in Amsterdam to a brand new track last night, seemingly to make amends. you can watch the fan footage video below.
The track is almost certainly of Drake’s upcoming More Life project, which was described as a “playlist collaboration with Apple” rather than an actual album. During the Amsterdam show, Drake even appeared to suggest a release date for the project, alluding to More Life potentially being released by the time he returns to the city, telling fans “if you coming back to any more shows, More Life is going to be out, we can just do some whole new shit.” The video can be seen below.
