Second series RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestant and finalist Bimini has shared news about her music debut single. She posted on her Instagram: “My new single ‘God Save This Queen’ is out June 3rd. So excited for you to hear it!!!! I’ve been working with a sick team and I’m so proud of this track!!”.
Bimini, real name Tommy Hibbitts has shared a short, ten seconds preview of the upcoming track. It showcases an art pop picture of the artist, electro-pop sound in the background and it ends with Bimini’s voice saying: “I love you mom”.
‘God Save The Queen’ single is out on 3rd June and can be preordered here.
Meanwhile, Bimini and Mayor of London Sadiq Khan recently spent the day together after restaurants had been fully re-opened after Covid-19 restrictions. They both had vegan brunch at Mildreds, Soho vegetarian and vegan hotspot. They discussed support for queer spaces as a part of Khan’s ‘Let’s Do London’ campaign.
The Drag Queen shared on her social media: “Cheers to London. So proud of the city and it’s people. It’s been so gorgeous seeing everyone meeting friends in bars and restaurants. Here’s me and @mayorofldn yesterday at @mildredsrestaurants discussing London’s vibrant culture, the importance of nightlife and my potential run for mayor in the future. Bimini 2029”.
The campaign is set to support London after it’s been hit by the pandemic. The Mayor explained: “It’s been hard to see so many restaurants struggle over the last year. Now is our chance to show them our support…Remember, the virus is still very much with us—so please follow the rules and stay safe”.

Apart from discussion of promoting small businesses, Bimini and Khan talked about support and importance of LGBTQ+ spaces. They said: “We’re one step closer to being fully together again and the energy in the air is electrifying”.
