Scottish singer and songwriter Dot Allison unveils a new song from the upcoming album “Heart-Shaped Scars”.
“One Love” follows up with other intoxicating tracks “Long Exposure” and “Can You Hear Nature Sing?“. In the new single, Allison uses the flower metaphor “to signify a rare kind of fragile love perishing in the shade.”
“It’s a song about someone feeling unsure in a relationship, needing reassurance. The flower metaphors are rare flowers used to signify a rare, precious, all encompassing love. Blood Camellia suggests flesh, veins and a pulse, Fire Lilies imbue a sense of passion and Juliette Rose seems to hint at Shakespeare” she explains.
I’m excited to announce the third single from my upcoming LP,
