Dodie has announced that she will be hitting the road in the UK and Ireland next March, in support of her third EP. The singer/song-writer is set to go on tour following the release of her third EP, ‘Human’, which is scheduled to be released on the 18th of January. The singer released the EP’s title trach on the 24th of September 2018.
Dodie’s UK leg of her tour starts in Bristol on the 13th of March and is scheduled to conclude in London, on the 24th of March 2019. The UK and Ireland leg of the singers tour begin after a 16-date tour of Europe. Tickets for Dodie’s UK and Ireland tour go on sale on Friday the 128th of September at 10am.
The Epping-born star, who’s real name is Dorothy Miranda Clark, scored her Official Chart breakthrough last August, when her self-released ‘You’ EP entered the albums Top 10 at Number 6, whilst her debut EP ‘Intertwined’, debuted at 35. The 23-year old musician first found fame online aged 16, when she began uploading music on YouTube from her bedroom. She now has over 1.7 million subscribers on the platform.
“I forget that there’s music of mine that gets people through stuff. It’s easy to forget you’re not just talking to a crowd of people. You’re singing to one person. It’s like a relationship with that person, even though you’re singing to 100,000 people. And I will never ever get over people singing my lyrics back at me. When I’m writing songs now, I think ‘if I write one word differently, people will sing that instead’. I love touring. I really love meeting people. It’s so strange to go to different places and meet people from across the world who know you so well. I can’t wait to go on tour again,” says Dodie.
