Legendary Motown Artist Diana Ross has been re-announced as the artist set to perform on the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage in 2022. The Legendary Motown Artist released her twenty-fifth studio album Thank You on November 5th. The singer expressed her excitement to be performing on the Glastonbury Pyramid stage in this tweet.

Diana Ross is an American singer, songwriter, actress and mother who rose to fame with the sixties group The Supremes. The group was deemed Motown’s most successful act in the 1960s and one of the best selling female groups of all time. The group are known for their memorable singles “Come See About Me”, “Baby Love” and “Stop! In The Name of Love”.
The singer embarked on her solo career in 1970 and also made a career in film, television and on the stage. The musician released popular singles “Upside Down”, “Endless Love”, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, “Touch Me In The Morning” and the UK number two smash hit “When You Tell Me That You Love Me” throughout her musical career.
The singer shared a special bond with the late singer Michael Jackson who sadly passed away in 2009, the late singer wrote and produced Ross’s 1982 single “Muscles” and they both starred in the movie The Wiz. The duo also released their hit single “Ease On Down The Road” from the movie.
The singer will appear at Glastonbury during her Thank You UK Tour, the title of the tour is taken from her first album release for 15 years, Thank You with her new record label UK’s Decca Records. Upon releasing the album Ross said “I dedicate this songbook of love to all of you, the listeners. As you hear my voice you hear my heart.” The singer was the first artist to be announced to appear at Glastonbury in October 2019 and is now the first artist to re-commit to the popular event. Glastonbury was postponed due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and the 50th Anniversary Celebrations were also cancelled due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Glastonbury’s Co-Producer Emily Evans expressed her delight in respect to Ross appearing on the Pyramid Stage in this tweet.

Ross will be joining artists Dolly Parton, Kylie, Barry Gibb, Lionel Ritchie and Stormzy who have also graced the pyramid stage. In view of her upcoming Glastonbury appearance, Ross said “I’m so excited and grateful to finally know that I’ll be seeing you at Glastonbury” The singer has recently released her single “I Still Believe” on November 3rd and also teased her video for the single “All Is Well” both from her Thank You album.
Following her 15-year music hiatus, Ross’s followers will receive a musical treat with the Motown legend’s performances during her Thank You UK Tour and her legendary performance at Glastonbury in 2022.
