Deema announces his new EP ‘Rainbow’ as well as releasing the title track alongside a video directed by Bella Kemp.
The video followed similar trends to the videos the 21-year-old has already put out, shot in south London the Brockley native stayed true to himself. Always referencing south London and his home town Brockley, the rapper always shows love to his home whether it’s in videos or referenced in his lyrics.
Deema is a talented rapper whose grime flows and influence mix with jazzier and slower beats, having made his journey in music alongside local collective ‘The Square’ home to fellow Lewisham rappers, Blakie Blakes and Novelist. Deema was appearing on radio sets at age 15 but it wasn’t until 2020 where the rapper from SE4 dropped his first project, a 7 song ep titled ‘Chew your food’. The project currently sits on just over 2 million streams on Spotify.
Alongside the release of his single ‘Rainbow’, the 21-year-old also announced he will be releasing a new EP, which will share the name of his single ‘Rainbow’. Having not announced the release date fans will wait in anticipation to hear what Deema will produce for his sophomore project.
Deemas release prior to ‘Rainbow’ was ‘Can I’ the high energy track produced by regular collaborator Dom Valentino was well received with other 100 thousand streams and 25 thousand views on the video. Deemas releases have been his first since his 2020 project and see him gearing up for his upcoming release.
