Dave and Sir David Attenborough will release a special episode of ‘Planet Earth’. The programme launches in the summer, and is called ‘Planet Earth: A Celebration’.
Sir David Attenborough will use his characteristic voice to narrate the show, whilst Dave will collaborate with the BBC Concert Orchestra to provide the soundtrack. ‘Planet Earth: A Celebration‘ aims to provide ‘a visual and musical feast‘ with the intention ‘to lift viewers spirits during a time of international uncertainty‘.
The show includes sequences from ‘Planet Earth II‘ and ‘Blue Planet II‘. Producers decided to include their most extraordinary shots from the aforementioned seasons in order to create a complete exploration of the World’s most wild locations.
Legendary composer Hans Zimmer joins the two British Icons. Zimmer wrote the music for Hollywood hits ‘The Gladiator’, ‘The Dark Knight’ and Inception’.
Dave expressed his excitement a the project, on the BBC website. ‘I’ve always been fan of powerful natural history documentaries‘, the rapper eulogised, ‘this is a programme where nature and music come together, so it was only right that I lent my talent, my time, and my attention‘. He also labelled the experience of working alongside Sir David Attenborough and Hans Zimmer as a ‘pleasure‘.
Dave’s contribution to Planet Earth: A Celebration is just the latest chapter in a thrilling career. The BBC holds his talent to the same regard as legend Hans Zimmer, which demonstrates the Rapper’s abilities. Dave creates atmospheric imagery through his music, such as in his politically charged track: ‘Question Time’. He will call upon the same gift to contribute to the stunning ‘Planet Earth: A Celebration’, due for release in the summer.
