The performance is due to take place tomorrow, May 17th on the Boiler Room TV YouTube channel. This marks his first live show of 2020.
Albarn will perform music from his new project “The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows”. This new project of his, one of his many side projects, is inspired by the landscape of Iceland. Damon announced the stream on his Instagram.
This will be the next in the many of the ‘Streaming from Isolation’ series which they have been putting on. With notable names such as Disclosure and Peggy Gou also taking part.

Usually Albarn spends his time working on his ‘Song Machine’ project with the Gorillaz, in which the band release episodes consisting of new singles, music videos and collaborations. The latest instalment is ‘How Far’, a collaboration with Skepta and Tony Allen.
Albarn has a handful of other projects to accompany his first band Blur. They rose to prominence during the mid 90’s and Albarn has widely been credited with starting the Britpop movement.
Recently though he has achieved worldwide fame with Gorillaz. Which were groundbreaking as they were the first animated band and fused all different genres together. Tune in to the stream on Sunday to see what his new project sounds like.
