It is another day, another cancelled event. This time, EDM festival Creamfields has announced the postponement of its 2020 edition to next year due to, obviously, the outbreak of COVID-19. Originally, the festival was set to take place during August 27 to 29, at Daresbury, Cheshire. However, the organisers revealed that they would return on August Bank Holiday, expanding from August 26 to 29, next year.
The festival released a statement regarding the postponement on Twitter: “We have been closely monitoring the global situation and it has become clear that it’s simply not possible for this year’s edition to go ahead.”
Creamfields thanked those who supported them and promised to “be back stronger than ever” next year. Read the full statement from the post below.

There are two options for those who already purchased tickets for this year’s edition. First, they can retain their tickets for the returning dates next year. In the meantime, the second option is to claim a refund. All of the information can be seen in the tweet above, or visit Creamfields’ official site for more details.
There is also good news for those who wish to keep their tickets for the 2021 edition. The festival offers up to £60 in vouchers for drinks, food, and merches that they can spend at the event.
This year, Creamfields booked plenty of exciting EDM acts to perform at the festival. The Chainsmokers, Jonas Blue, Deadmau5, Gorgon City, and Calvin Harris were the leading names to appear.
To keep the hype going, they have unveiled artists who will perform on the new dates next year. Adam Beyer, Ben Nicky, Carlcox, Deadmau5, and Martin Garrix appear on 2021’s line-up. Dutch DJ Tiësto, who just had his latest album ‘The London Session‘ come out last week, is also set to perform at the festival.
