Manchester trio Courteeners have announced their sixth album titled ‘More. Forever. Again.’ after releasing the first single from the album, ‘Heavy Jacket’.
Following up from their fifth album ‘Mapping The Rendezvous’ released in 2016, the northern indie-rock band have not only teased fans with a new single this week, but also with the track list for their sixth album, due to be released on 17th January 2020. The announcement of the new album was made from the bands Twitter page on Monday.

In an interview with NME in 2018, frontman Liam Fray said that their latest single ‘Heavy Jacket‘ was “one of the most unusual songs we’ve done”. Comparing the upcoming album to the bands previous releases, Fray said “It’s more dancey, but obviously with real players and a human element”. The lyric video for ‘Heavy Jacket‘ was posted to the Courteeners YouTube channel on Monday, following the album announcement.

Following the bands biggest ever headline show at Manchester’s Heaton Park earlier in June, the trio have announced they will be playing two arena dates later on this year. They will play London Olympia on 30th November 2019, followed by Manchester Arena on 14th December 2019. Tickets can be purchased on Friday 6th September 2019 from Ticketmaster and Gigs and Tours.
